Health Insurance

Associates are eligible for coverage on the first of the month following 30 days of employment.  Health insurance coverage is available for yourself, spouse and eligible dependents.  Health coverage is offered by Medica.

Dental Insurance

Associates are eligible for coverage on the first of the month following 30 days of employment.  Dental insurance coverage is available for yourself, spouse and eligible dependents.  Dental coverage is offered by Assurant.

Vision Insurance

Associates are eligible for coverage on the first of the month following 30 days of employment.  Vision insurance coverage is available for yourself, spouse and eligible dependents.  Vision coverage is offered by Humana.

Health Savings Account

Health Savings Account, through Optum Health Bank, is available to Associates who elect a High Deductible Health Plan.

Flexible Spending Accounts

Sand offers Flexible Spending Accounts for health care expenses, dependent care, and adoption assistance.

Life Insurance

Sand pays for Basic Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) at a level of 1x Annual Salary, up to a maximum amount.

Disability Insurance

Sand pays for short-term and long-term disability insurance for Associates.

Long Term Care

Long Term Carepolicies increase financial security by providing payments for services necessary in the event of an accident or illness, should an Associate require services such as nursing home, home health or alternative care facility.  Sand provides basic LTC to all full-time Associates at no cost. Associates may also elect to purchase additional coverage.

401(k) Plan

Associates are eligible to elect contributions on the 1st of the month following six (6) months of service (must have worked 500 hours) and be 21 years of age.  Sand offers a safe harbor match and all contributions are immediately 100% vested.

Holidays

Sand offers eight (8) paid holidays, including New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day and Christmas Day.

Paid Time Off

Paid Time Off is based on the calendar year and is pro-rated based on the month of hire.
